Still Somebody Else

Weakness defined is a face that comes around

When your troubled word has got you by the tail

There's nothing around

No one here to understand

You stand diminished by a past somebody's words

And those somebody's words cut you deep and swallowed you whole

And your ostrich head is buried in the sand

You do what you can

You're still somebody else

No matter what you think to say

You're still somebody else

Rotating the moods from day to day

You're still somebody else

And nothing's the same since you put on that face

You're still somebody else

Even when you're by yourself

So you're stuck in a crowd that bends your mind

And ties you down

You've been thinking that you need a new way out

There's nothing around

That gets you to that other place

Where you're gonna shine

You'll let that truth spill all about

And I can see in your grin

All those things that you've held in

And I'm the only one who is set for your surprise

As doubt subsides

You're still somebody else

No matter what you think to say

You're still somebody else

Rotating the moods from day to day

You're still somebody else

And nothing's the same since you put on that face

You're still somebody else

Even when you're by yourself

It would be a miracle just to feel at home

You're all alone and riding on that breeze

While you're balanced on that life that rests on sacrifice

It would be nice

To reacquaint those days of ease

And I can see in your grin

All those things that you've held in

And I'm the only one who is set for your surprise

As doubt subsides

You're still somebody else

No matter what you think to say

You're still somebody else

Rotating the moods from day to day

You're still somebody else

And nothing's the same since you put on that face

You're still somebody else

Even when you're by yourself

Roll Down

Jah we all feel frustration.
Pushing harder though we feel true strain
Wishing that you'd send us an angel
Imagine joy when you only cry pain.

And if you're gonna need some sunshine.
Cover your eyes and let the rain roll quietly down.
Dripping in the tears of one time,
Suddenly your mind can let the rain roll quietly down.

Let it roll down. Let it roll down.

Someday there will be an uprising.
When your heart finally has had enough.
Water from the river baptising
You think its fate finally calling your bluff.

And if you're gonna need some sunshine.
Cover your eyes and let the rain roll quietly down.
Dripping in the tears of one time
Suddenly your mind can let the rain roll quietly down.

Let it roll down, let it roll down.

Leavin' Town

"How many times was there trouble

Whenever I smiled a certain way?

No I never held any added depth

I was happy in the offhand things I'd say..

So I wanna know where I went wrong

Cause I think I had it right this whole time

Exhausted in this 'bout and once again

I'm arranging blind ambition in my mind

So I'm leaving town

My life will be much brighter when it's finally found

I'm leaving town

Difference is waiting to learn my middle name

When I finally leave this town

How many times did I stand corrected

Like I spoke against what you held dearly in mind?

I can't fight the feeling it always gets the best of me

It kills me that opinions don't combine..

Seems I've always had some plan

That I've kicked around and somehow it's the same old

Every days just like tomorrow

When you're waking up too late and freezing cold

I'm leaving town

My life will be much brighter when it's finally found

I'm leaving town

Difference is waiting to learn my middle name

When I finally leave this town

So I wanna know where I went wrong

Cause I think I had it right this whole time

Every day is just like tomorrow

Where you're waking up too late and freezing cold

I'm leaving town

My life will be much brighter when it's finally found

I'm leaving town

Difference is waiting to learn my middle name

When I finally leave this town

My life will be much brighter when

My life will be much brighter when

My life will be much brighter when

My life will be much brighter"

Different Colors

"When you're at my front door

I hesitate before I let you in

There are more doors lined up this street

Many smiles that could lay within

But first I'll need to catch

A couple of breaths

Before I follow you follow you through

From the rest

I'm gonna see you out this door

Smile stretched is insecure

Never really loved one heart for too long

They may all think I'm wrong that you're the right one for me

It may be vain to tow the water but these fish are different colors in my sea

What an enormous start of my day

I've got a receiver in my ear

It's just a harsh reminder that everything only gets better for

The next 23 minutes

Then time re-expires

And I'm lit back on fire

And on the insides

I'm like a burning ember

Of a last known cigarette ending all the points of a small gust of wind

That carried the thought of you the spider spinning your obnoxiously naive silk

I'm gonna see you out this door

Smile stretched is insecure

Never really loved one heart for too long

They may all think I'm wrong that you're the right one for me

It may be vain to tow the water but these fish are different colors in my sea

I'm gonna see you out this door

Smile stretched is insecure

Never really loved one heart for too long

They may all think I'm wrong that you're the right one for me

It may be vain to tow the water but these fish are different colors in my sea"
